Donaldson Company Names John P. Wiehoff to Board of Directors

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2003--Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE:DCI), today announced that it has appointed John P. Wiehoff to its board of directors, effective immediately. Wiehoff will serve on the corporate governance and audit committees.

Wiehoff, 41, is chief executive officer of Minneapolis-based C. H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHRW), a $3.3 billion global provider of multimodal transportation services and logistics solutions, with offices in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Wiehoff joined C. H. Robinson in 1992 as controller, and was named vice president and chief financial officer in June 1998. In November 1998, he was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer, and was named president in December 1999. He was named chief executive officer in May 2002.

Prior to joining C. H. Robinson, Wiehoff was an auditor with Arthur Andersen from 1984 through 1992. Wiehoff graduated from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota, in 1984 with degrees in accounting and political science, and obtained his CPA license in 1986.

Wiehoff is replacing Paul B. Burke, retired chairman, president and chief executive officer of BMC Industries, Inc., who retired from the Donaldson board at the conclusion of today's meeting.
