NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Pa., Aug. 8 — Tetratec™ PTFE technologies, a division of Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE:DCI), held a groundbreaking ceremony today for the construction of a new headquarters and manufacturing facility at the Ginko Industrial Park in Northampton Township, Pa., a suburb of Philadelphia. Tetratec currently operates four separate facilities in Feasterville, Pa., which is also in the Philadelphia area. The new facility will combine and consolidate the operations from three of those facilities while doubling Tetratec's manufacturing capacity.

The 61,000-square-foot facility, situated on a 19-acre site with additional room for expansion, is scheduled for completion in January 2002.

Tetratec™ PTFE technologies produces expanded PTFE membranes under the Tetratex® brand name. Tetratex repels water while allowing air and moisture vapor to flow freely through the membrane. Tetratex has a wide variety of applications including industrial dust collection and fabric for high performance garments.
